Displaying books
I believe that children choose books that look appealing to them, and how books are displayed is an important factor in this. These little easels came from the dollar store and I used them in my first grade classroom. I brought them out to display some books that went with our March theme. I set them up on the windowsill where they will catch Q's attention. Books that are displayed with their cover facing out are so much more appealing and irristible than a basketful....try it!!!!! You don't even need easels--just open the books a bit so they will stand upright. Your child won't be able to resist. :)
