Scooping PomPoms

This activity uses two little plastic flowerpots (to go with our nature theme, of course!!) and a little metal "shovel" (I got it in the kitchen section at the thrift store). Q can scoop the pompoms from one pot to the other, working from left to right, of course! She can also practice pouring from pot to pot, if she's interested.

This activity also practices colors and counting.

Older children can practice color patterning (pink, yellow, purple, pink, yellow, purple, etc.)
I love pompoms for scooping because they don't roll too far if they fall out and they stick together fairly well in the scoop for beginners.
