About Me

My photo
DL
My education background includes a bachelors in elementary education and a masters in early childhood education with a focus on play-based learning. I have taught at the elementary, preschool, toddler, infant and college levels and in traditional, montessori and Waldorf enviroments. One of life's most intriguing elements to me is how kids learn, and I believe it's rooted in play and simple daily routines. This blog chronicles my own personal (and very informal) lab....and my subjects are my sweet daughter, Q and my little man, B, and a potpourri of precious foster kiddos God places in our home. Our goal is to have fun together and along the way learn how to read, cook, garden, craft, act like Jesus, show kindness, and a world of other skills! Maybe you'll learn a thing or two, as well!!! This year I am homeschooling a 3rd and 6th grader, and you can follow along more regularly via Instagram @daicialei to see what we're doing on a daily basis!
